Hail can hurt

Hey world. Sorry it's been a bit, but here are a few updates:

So last Sunday, I was at the ECM, being a good Delta Force soldier. Lauren called me and said, "hey, have you gotten any hail?" I said, "No, just rain, I think it missed us." Way to go Nostradamus.

Here are the photo's of the damage, for your entertainment, you can play where's Jarrod on a couple of them:

See the nice huge dent in the windshield there, yeah, really sweet.

If you are sharing in my pain, leave a comment, any DFer's out there with similar wounds? I don't want to sound like a brat here, but I know someone who lost someone near, and this is just money, (and i'm insured with some very nice parents helping me out with my deductable).

Speaking of money

Check out Rick Reilly's latest column here. Some of his stuff is hackneyed and cheap, but this is real. Here I am bitching about getting hailed on my new car, some of these kids are dying because they don't have any mosquito nets. I'm such a punk.

Other reading for fun

Read Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. Worth it. I promise. Fascinating study of how we come to conclusions and it focuses on how do we subliminally come to know what we know. Fascinating.

Listening

Camille Saint-Saens Carnival of the Animals. Totally brings me back to Orchestra in 6th grade. Sometimes I miss the Cello. I just love The Swan.

Thats it for now

Come back soon for some KU sports stuff and the importance of the word fuck.

Also, wish me luck on my Die Ilse ist Weg Prüfung
am Freitag. Ich bin screwed.
